Getting Started as a DJ on Slipmat

The following is shown to all new DJs, but let’s put it here on Backstage as well so we can link to it easily,

Some things you might want to check out while you’re new here:

1. First, learn the basics

Your first Slipmat events - before and after and How to promote your live events will tech you the basics you need to know to get started.

2. Spin some test events

It’s a good idea to do at least one test event. Click the green New Event -button to get started and mark your test events as private so they wont pollute your stats and show up on the homepage. Then when you feel ready, just create a public event and off you go!

3. Promote your social media

Link your social media accounts to your profile. We will follow and graph your fanbase growth and provide other useful information based on your social media accounts and events you play.

4. Do you take requests?

If you want to take requests using our powerful Request System, upload a playlist file from your DJ software as a base collection.

5. Get Familiar with Backstage

Backstage is where our all off-event discussion, bug reporting and other communication happens. You can earn yourself a couple of badges to get started!

6. Help build the community!

Remember to invite your fans and listeners to Slipmat. We are a community and the more listeners we have, the more everyone involved get out of it

If you have any questions or comments, post them to Backstage. Remember, this is a community effort, everyone has a voice!
