I realize this post is like 6 months late but maybe better late than never…
This is important information for all artists regarding the v3 migration status and steps to pass on to your listeners who might not read the weekly status notes.

Too Long; Didn’t Read
- New registrations are now open for Apple/Google login methods. Normal registrations wont open until everything is done, but v2 users can log in already
- You can follow the progress in realtime on GitHub
- The updates are posted here and linked on homepage and artist dashboard
Migration Status
As of Jun 2026 the old domain serves only the legacy public archive pages. Most of the new functionality is already in place. The current up to date list of remaining v3 features to be implemented is here: https://github.com/slipmatio/slipmatio/milestone/8
Old users can log in and migrate their old data from the login page by resetting password using the v2 email.
Migration Timetable
Things still to be done before we migrate the domain and open up registrations (detailed in the public ticket tracker):
- Public page templates (for keeping the SEO of legacy artist event archives) and homepage template for both anonymous and authenticated users
- Actual domain migration ( where
next.slipmat.iobecomesslipmat.ioand old servers are nuked) - Rest of the missing v2 features
Things that will happen before everything above is done:
- Creating new artists will open up before general registration (as this needs to work well)
The timetable is unknown but hopefully “soon”. We’ve been closing ~1-4 issues per week from the list on average, that gives you some idea of what it expected to happen in near future.
All bug reports and general usage of the new v3 site helps making this process faster ![]()
Frequently Asked / Known Issues
- Logging in with v2 password does not work and will not work. We never stored the password (only a hash) and v3 has different database and 10 years fresher security algorithms so everyone needs to reset the v2 password to log in. This is a one-time migration.
- New registrations are open via Apple and Google. If you did not have v2 account, you can now register just by logging in with your Apple or Google account. Normal registrations will open later. If you do have v2 account, reset your password using your v2 email and follow the instructions.
- The v2 user account migration relies on email. If you use Sign In with Apple and hide your email, we cannot find the original email you registered with so migration your account only works by manually resetting your password using the old original email. (Solution: instead of logging via Apple, reset password → use original email → finalize registration as per email instructions.)
