Finland is celebrating midsummer this week (which is the biggest yearly national holiday time in Finland, much bigger than Christmas / New Years) so there was a bit less visible work on Slipmat this week. But we did have some improvements at least.

New Features
- Amp; this weeks weekend project added a listener feature that has been requested forever. Typing
/ampin the event chat opens up a simple tool that allows you to add up to +12dB gain to the artists audio signal (on supported devices; unfortunately iOS and Safari do not support this Web API yet). If you happen to be on an old laptop or any other device where even full volume does not yield enough loudness, this tool allows you to ~2.5x the percieved volume
Enhancements
- Live page now shows artist details properly botn in desktop and mobile sizes. (v2 feature parity)
- Friending users and changing settings on the live page is now properly reactive, meaning that the changes will affect immediately without needing to refresh the page. This makes much of the common usage much nicer.
- Forced password set panel no longer redirects you after the password has been set. This greatly improves the user experience especially on the live page as your listening experience is not disrupted at all.
Bugfixes
- There was a bug in the loading screen filter sweep that would leave the high-pass filter on when event went from warmup to live. This is now fixed.
- Opening a dm window now reliably works for the initiator as well. There was a bug that in some circumstances the initiator would not see their own messages, this is now fixed.
